I have a 15.5 HP 38″ cut John Deere Sabre lawn tractor. Heavy, thick, white smoke is coming out from under the front of the engine. It has oil & fuel. No leaks on the ground. Any comments or tips? Thanks.

Sounds like too much oil. Check the level and drain if TOO FULL.

Yes, but it won’t be very safe in state is is now (in design), the center of gravity is too high! If you extended the frame enough (and drop the seat) so that your “rear” is about 3′ off the ground when driving possibly turning the front axle upside down so that the spindles for wheels were much higher (and frame closer to ground too”! Possibly extend axles outward to make “track wider” and put a roll cage over your body for safety! …. Then all you would have to do is figure out how to make it go faster with extra pulleys and belts! That is if you want to go fast like most “go-kart nuts”! Remember -when you hit things with out much body protection at high speed it hurts (and brakes things sometimes)!

Maybe you just want to build a whole go-cart frame and use the parts on that !

I just looked at my 2006 JDeere LT190 and it appears that they do not want you too, they want too sell you another seat…I suggest you call a dealer and ask for a replacement switch and if they have one then you must be able and if not they will tell you it all comes as one piece seat/switch…. if mine goes out then I will be by passing that safety switch.
