how do i install the transmission drive belt on john deere 165 lawn tractor. show the diagram and what may or may not need to be removed. also the plastic cooling fan on the transmission case needs replaced how do i remove/install the fan. thank you

A friend of mine had to move unexpectedly and is selling her John Deere LA100 lawn tractor. She bought it new last summer and paid around 00 for it. She has no place to keep it now so I’m letter her use my garage until she gets it sold. The thing that concerns me is that for a practically new machine, it’s obvious that its been abused and not maintained well at all. There are numerous scratches and scrapes in the paint where it has been driven into things. The plastic guard on the mower deck is almost completely torn off, and one of the tires won’t hold air. She tried to clean it up, but there is dirt and grime in every possible crevice. She won’t take less than 00 for it and everyone that comes by my place tells me thats way to much. I need to get this thing out of my garage quick!!! What can I tell her is a reasonable offer to accept?

She will have a real problem getting that much for an abused machine. This unit is sold at Lowes and Home Depot and many consider it a “fake” Deere. She will be lucky to get half of what she paid.

I own an John Deere LT133 Lawn Tractor and I want to get a snow blower attachemnt but I am not sure if there is one. maybe an old model blower? I DO NOT WANT THE PLOW. The tractor is too light to plow snow which Is why I want a blower. Any Help??

i have a 160 john deere lawn tractor and when the mower is running and i am using it the brakes work fine but once i turn the tractor off and put the parking brake on they no longer work… im not to sure how the brakes work but for me to put it in park i have to push down both of the foot pedals and then there is a lever i put into place and it keeps the pedals held down. when i am using the moter i use the same method to stop just without pushing the lever into place i just hold the pedals down…. can someone please tell me how to fix this problem

there should be a ajustment screw to turn to fix it.on the shaft,from the pedal.

The VIN number will tell you the date but I am not sure witch digit it is. Call a dealer and give them the vin# and they can tell you.
